Google Revenge Review

It seems that almost every week a new product promising to teach you how to be a better PPC marketer is released. The latest one of this kind is Google Revenge. PPC marketing is something that many people have great difficulty with and anything that can help with making you a better PPC marketer is worth taking a look at. Is there anything new to be found within yet another PPC related product for affiliate marketing?

The main eBook is just a tad shy of 80 pages. The sections covered include 21st century landing pages, how to find keywords that are buyer ready, writing good ads, increasing your quality score and the basics on setting up your own website and adwords account. Essentially there are just two main sections, landing pages and highly targetted keywords. The 21st landing pages section describes one method, using an autoresponder, to get opt-in leads and increase the chances of your leads purchasing the affiliate product you are promoting. The section on keywords basically tells you to search for and use keywords which are more likely to be users looking to buy. This section also gives some advice on how to write adword ads that have a greater impact. Examples of this include asking a question, using power words such as “how to” and creating an ad that makes the user curious, encouraging them to click on your ad. The remainder of the main eBook goes over sections which most users should already be aware of. Such as, setting up your domain, creating an adwords account and creating ads just to name a few.

Google Revenge does attempt to cover a wide variety of topics, but its short length results in there not really being much indepth information. Topics and ideas are brushed over very quickly. While most people with any knowledge or experience in affiliate marketing shouldn’t have a problem, beginners may feel that there just isn’t enough information given to help them get a better or clearer understanding of the sections discussed. A large portion of the eBook is also dedicated to very basic information, such as setting up your hosting and domain name. This seems to be very common and only beginners really stand to gain much use out of this section.

While brief, Google Revenge does cover most of the important areas when running PPC campaigns. Picking targetted keywords, writing good ads, how to increase your quality score and using effective landing pages to capture emails are all very important areas in PPC marketing. A sample landing page template is also enclosed, making it very easy for those with limited html skills to get their own landing pages up and running without much trouble. Other than these few points, there really isn’t much that I can say I like about Google Revenge.

Google Revenge tried to deliver a lot of information on a wide variety of topics, but in the end came up short. The information covered is important, but there is not enough detail included for the majority of people who I believe stand to gain the most from this product. Those people being beginners. If you are looking for a quick introduction and examples on how to run PPC campaigns, Google Revenge might be what you are looking for. I do believe, however, that there are products out there that do a better job at introducing beginners to the world of PPC marketing. Anyone with any kind of experience and knowledge in using PPC will want to skip this one.
